Making the invisible visible

Some projects aren't about showing as much as possible, but rather precisely the right thing. This was exactly the challenge with our image film for ELDICO Scientific AG.

The Basel-based startup is developing the ED-1, a high-precision electron diffractometer that helps researchers precisely determine atomic structures and lattice parameters. This technology shortens research and development processes and opens up new possibilities for science and industry. The finished film aims to help ELDICO Scientific convince potential customers and investors of their vision.

At the time of production, the ED-1 was not yet in its final housing version. Instead of showing the device as a whole, we deliberately chose a different approach: we focused on the technical details.

Using a precisely designed lighting setup, we highlighted individual components, materials and structures. Macro shots and controlled lighting accents convey precision and innovative power.

The entire production was completed in a single day of shooting. Within just a few hours, we set up the lighting, produced the interviews with the ELDICO Scientific team and captured all the B-roll footage. Our compact production plan and meticulous preparation enabled us to execute the entire workflow efficiently – without compromising on image quality.

For us, this project was particularly exciting because ELDICO Scientific is part of the ecosystem of the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area – an environment where we also support other clients and which strengthens and represents the Basel region internationally.
